Tribal Woman: Portrait, 9"x12" Limited edition of 50, Archival Pigment Print (Danyii)

$ 150.00

From the series: "I wish I were a Tribal Woman", (fictitious portraits of the collective beauty of women from the tribes of India)'

This is Danyii from the Apatani tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. She is 55 years old (although she honestly doesn't look a day over 30!), and was one of the last women in her tribe to get her nostrils adorned with nose plugs called Yapiñ Hullo. They are made out of dry cane, available in the jungle, then burned and rubbed to make them smooth. Isn't she regal?

9" x 12" fine art archival pigment print on Epson cold press, bright white, 310 gsm cotton rag paper. (Printed by the same print studio that works with Kehinde Wiley - WHOA!)

1st photograph shows it in a frame for your reference only. The print ships unframed.

Watercolors, gouache, acrylic, calligraphy inks.

Limited edition of 50 only.
