From the series: "I wish I were a Tribal Woman", (fictitious portraits of the collective beauty of women from the tribes of India)'

Have you met Bansri? She is 36 years old and part of the Kutchi Rabari tribe from the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Living in the desert and salt marshes only enhances her wisdom and beauty. Those exquisite sculptures hanging from her ears? They are 'nagali' earrings modeled after snakes and mushrooms - both hooded and therefore protective.
