From the series: "I wish I were a Tribal Woman", (fictitious portraits of the collective beauty of women from the tribes of India)'

Meet Sisa from the Bonda tribe. She is 15 years old and lives in the hills bordering Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. The 'khagla' or aluminum-silver bands she wears around her neck protect her from wild animals when she forages for food in the jungles. Her hair is cut short and she made that astonishingly beautiful, beaded headdress on her own. She is both stylish and brave!
