Munubug has been called 2-Faced more than once. She's always grappled with her 'Public Persona' and 'Private Self' and the boundaries or lack thereof, between the two. She's questioned her status as a global citizen and an Indian immigrant. She's slipped into roles that were made for her and roles she made for herself, realizing quickly that she was probably not alone in this journey of meeting, and not meeting expectations; with exceeding expectations, remaining a rarified journey in it of itself. 

This particular collection of work has been a labor of love and dissent for the past few years. She has continued to use her Starry-Eyed women, but now, they're being deliberately placed in environments that are overworked and detailed and messy and pristine. Women in kitschy and elaborately embellished ensembles, on found, over-the-top baroque mirrors, collide with obsessively layered watercolor and ink portraits, while the mask sculptures are purposefully in-your-face seductive and petulant.

Munubug wants you to find your favorite 2-Faced character, as they each grapple with their identities - as you do, as she does. Every. Single. Day. 

2-Faced is a 'Work-In-Progress'. It's life.
